touristic places like volendams museum were very close to our hotel. we appreciated the fact that we chose old dutch. 30 km from schiphol airport.
-
Service was superb and food was fabulous. We could have lunch in Dolce Vita set within 100 metres.

The hotel has an outstanding location overlooking the harbour. Recently refurbished, the room was spotlessly clean and well decorated with minimum but attractive furnishings and comfortable beds and easy chairs. The restaurant menu was varied and food was well presented and excellent value for money.
There was lots of noise from the harbourside well into the early hours of Saturday morning and our windows had to remain open otherwise the room would have become too hot.

Excellent dinner for our one night stop.
Great difficulty in finding and accessing hotel by car.It would have been very much appreciated to have had a map, showing access to car park at rear of hotel.. This was very frustrating and delayed our arrival by more than thirty minutes. Why not a detailed map on the web site and sign at the rear of hotel to have guided us.
-
Great location - the rooms were spacious and immaculate. Very fiendly staff at the hotel, breakfast room and restaurant. Parking was a breeze even though this is on a very busy pedestrian way with the 'parking guy' across the way.
We have no complaints about the hotel but finding it on a very busy holiday weekend on a pedestrain only street was a bit of an adventure.

We both enjoyed our stay in the Old Dutch Hotel. It could have been spoilt by the first room allocated to us not being ready. Fortunately staff were quick to allocate an alternative room on the first floor overlooking the harbour which was ideal. We would return the hotel and advise others to do so. Another concern was the shortage of staff in the dining room. The person working there seemed to have too much to do as she was also the cleaner.

Harbour life & scenery
Breakfast scrambled egg was very salty.

Nice hotel, clean and right in front of the sea
Walls like sheets of paper... We could hear everything from the other rooms like if they were in our.. Disturbing especially in the night and the early morning...
-
The hotel is in in front of the harbour, very nice location. Breakfast ok with a lot of choice, staff friendly
It was quite ok but wifi connection finally was only in the entrance hall because the signal was quite weak.

The Hotel Old Dutch is in a fabulous location. It is right on the harbor with shops and restaurants all around. The hotel bar and restaurant are lovely and the breakfast room is very nice. The breakfast selection was very good and the coffee and orange juice were delicious. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. There was a fire alarm pulled at 3:00 A.M. in the morning, but no fire or emergency, thank goodness. There was a bit of noise from the street, but overall the hotel is lovely and the staff
The fire alarm going off at 3 A.M.!

Wonderful position over the port.
I had a very good room but in the attic and I could not see the outdoor.
-
beautiful location, very nice rooms, good service
-
I have stayed at the old dutch for the past 10 yrs, at various times and I like the staff and the location
-
The location right on the seaside was picturesque. We easily took the bus into Amsterdam and back. The hotel was charming.
I saw this before in the reviews but ignored it - there is no soap dish in the shower and the soap keeps falling on the floor.

Location only.
The room lacked furniture and was minimal. Two plastic glasses in the room, one that leaked. We asked at the bar for two wine glasses and were told glass glasses were not allowed in the room????????.No laundry bag. No phone numbers to contact front desk. Very noisy. Laminate floors carried all sounds in the middle of the night????????? Front desk staff would rather not answer our questions about attractions in the area. We would not recommend this hotel.
